“I got two of these, one for inside the tub and another for when I step out. The one inside actually grips the tub. I give it a good press down before I turn the water on and it doesn’t wander around underneath me. I’m 79 and still perfectly capable of looking after myself. I’d like to keep it that way.”

Loved by Thousands of Families
“I slipped getting out of the shower last year and fractured my hip. I live by myself and the thought of going through that again was always in the back of my mind. My old bath mat would still shift underneath my feet, especially when there was soap around. This one feels much more secure.”
“My dad is 78 and absolutely hates being treated like he’s old. So I bought him this instead because it doesn’t turn his bathroom into a hospital room. He complained about me fussing for about five minutes and then admitted his old mat used to slide around. This one stays put and he says he feels steadier on it.”
“I’ve bought three so-called non-slip mats and most of them were useless. They’d curl at the edges or start sliding after a few weeks. This one actually grips the tub. I give it a good press down before I turn the water on and it doesn’t wander around underneath me.”
“Mom is fiercely independent and still lives on her own. The bathroom was my biggest worry because she’d already had one small slip. I bought this for her and she actually uses it, which is half the battle with Mom! I know a mat can’t eliminate every risk, but having something that stays secure under her feet gives me some extra peace of mind when I’m not there.”
Frequently Asked Questions
What size should I get?
Pick the size that matches where the mat will go:
- Small · 27.5 × 15 in
Step-out: outside the shower or tub, or by the toilet - Medium · 29.5 × 17 in
Compact tubs and shower stalls - Large · 34.5 × 15.75 in
Extra long: standard and long tubs - Extra Large · 35.5 × 23.5 in
Extra wide: walk-in showers
Torn between two sizes? Go with the bigger one. It covers more of the floor.
Want one inside and one where you step out? Choose the Shower Pair and pick a size for each mat.
I've tried non-slip mats before. Why is this different?
Most mats rely on a few weak suction cups and sit on a film of water, so they slide when your weight shifts. SteadyStep has 200+ suction cups across the whole base and drains instantly, so there's no film to slide on.
How do I set it up?
Place it in the tub and press down firmly across the mat. The suction cups lock it in place in seconds. No tools, no drilling, no adhesive.
Will it stick to my tub?
It locks to smooth tubs and tiled shower floors: acrylic, porcelain, enamel and glazed tile. It isn't made for textured or anti-slip-coated surfaces.
How do I clean it? Will it go moldy?
Just rinse it under the shower and hang it over the tub to dry. The fast-draining design stops water sitting underneath, which is where mold grows.
Why not just buy a cheap mat on Amazon?
Cheap mats use thin rubber and a handful of suction cups. They curl, slide and grow mold within weeks. SteadyStep is built for one job: keeping your footing locked in place, backed by our 90-day guarantee.
Does it look like a "medical" product?
No. It's designed to look like a clean, modern bath mat and comes in a calm grey that suits any bathroom.
How fast will it arrive?
Orders ship within 24 hours with free US shipping and usually arrive in 5–8 business days. Order today and it ships by .
